Krishna's Peace Mission

When Sanjay failed to convince Duryodhana to come to a compromise with the Pandavas and prevent a battle, Krishna decided to go to Hastinapur himself as a messenger of the Pandavas and persuade Duryodhana.

Krishna was given a warm welcome at the court. Krishna said to Duryodhana, "I have come with an offer from the Pandavas. Instead of returning their whole kingdom, they would settle for just five villages because they are peace loving and want to prevent war."

Duryodhana scornfully replied, "The whole kingdom belongs to me. I will not even give land equal to the tip of a needle from my kingdom to the Pandavas. You are always partial to those Pandavas . I will imprison you." He ordered his soldiers to imprison Krishna .

Krishna came to his cosmic from (virata roopa). Every body was scared to see this . Then Krishna left the court.
