The Forest Fire

After slaying Kaliya, Krishna and his people were on their way back through a forest. As night fell it became impossible to return home. So they decided to spend the night in the forest.

After a while a great forest fire started. Spreading wildly it began scorching the entire forest.

Being scared, people ran to Krishna to save them the raging fire. They knew that only Krishna, who possessed great powers, could save them.

Krishna looked at the fire blazing in the distance. He stood firm and as it came close, opened his mouth wide, and swallowed the destructive forest fire .

Amazed by his strength, the people rejoiced and hailed the lord with praise .
