Krishna saves Nanda

One day Nanda went to take a dip in the Yamuna at an unfavorable time. Seeing Nanda in the river at such an odd hour, the attendants of Varuna, the sea god, arrested him and took him to their master.

Nanda's friends went to Krishna for help ,who immediately left for Varuna's abode. Elated to see Krishna,Varuna immediately released Nanda and begged him to forgive his servants.
